Sometimes it really is just a business decision. Don’t take every situation that occurs in the workplace or in your personal companies as a personal attack. A great boss or company always has to keep the “company” in mind. Yes, sometimes we may form friendships with our managers, supervisors or higher ranking colleagues but at the end of the day decisions have to be made that have nothing to do with that friendship. So instead of being personally offended, take time to think how could I have contributed differently, make adjustments and move on. For me it’s rarely personal but largely financial.
